After the deaths of both rival emperors of Shu-Han and Cao Wei, Zhuge Liang assigns himself the task of restoring a descendant of the imperial Liu clan back onto the hereditary throne, as he too approaches the end of life.
Blocking his plans of unification, the Nanman tribes in the south rise in rebellion; meanwhile the Cao-Wei generals Cao Zhen & Sima Yi ready their armies in the north.
